by Khanh Ret, 9 days ago

~Welcome to your guide of the Holy Avengers, the Guardians of light! or the Face rollers ]

Now step on in to my lab and lets turn you into a dps monster Happy

Specing- http://talent.mmo-champion.com/?paladin#99QYH6lobOl1,aere3,10952
This is the base spec for ICC, now how you spec the rest is up to you!
http://talent.mmo-champion.com/?paladin#999Tq9kvb3Ic1,aere3,10952
(This is my current spec) This spec is good for management of mana (i will address this later 1.) it also provides Aura mastery, A move we can use on fight like....BLOOD QUEEN
~ Scenario: your teammates are getting low on health from bloodbolt whirl, shadow damage is flying everywhere and the traditional resistance from shadow aura just isn't enough... AURA MASTERY!, BAM! Saved the raid Happy [Its also fun to pop aura mastery when your riding with crusader aura on and mounted...Zoom zoom anyone?]

However the MOST COMMON SPEC is http://talent.mmo-champion.com/?paladin#999SRn2vNzIs0,aere3,10952
~ Like i said at the beginning one you get your base spec the rest is up to you.

Glyphs-
(All of the links up top give the correct glyphs to use but if you didn't bother to look)
[Glyph of Judgement]
"This is your primary glyph as retribution. 10% more damage on one of our primary attacks is mandatory."-Arikah, Elitist Jerks
Why?: (will be addressed in "Rotation")

[Glyph of Consecration]
"This is a PvE glyph, it saves a ton of mana and some GCD clashes over the course of a fight (worth 108mp5). With our GCD as locked as it is this is also a mandatory pve glyph."-Arikah, Elitist Jerks
Why?: The other 2 glyphs we would even use would be Divine storm which is not really a dps increase and exorcism, though it is a nice attack consecration is just plain more important. This is due to the fact that it does damage to whatever your fight/ and is close to you, at a button click.

[Glyph of Seal of Vengeance]
"We now have the option of glyphing for 10 expertise! This glyph grants exactly what it says, 10 expertise (82 rating, 2.5%) when using our primary dps seal. "
-Arikah, Elitist Jerks

Why?:eh ill just let Arikah tell you "This is a decent option if you are under the expertise cap or if you want to use other stronger items in place of expertise items. It's worth noting that if you benefit from even half of the expertise (example, glyph puts you at 31 expertise) it is more dps than the exo glyph. The main benefit of this glyph is a lot of freedom in gear choices, as you can drop weaker expertise pieces."-Arikah, Elitist Jerks

Note:~The more haste, The faster you hit = The faster you can get 5 stacks (I will talk about beginning the fight later on 2.)

Backup major glyphs....
[Glyph of Exorcism]

[Glyph of Seal of Command]

Minor Glyphs-
[Glyph of Sense Undead]
"1% damage to undead, in an expansion filled with undead mobs. Our only real useful minor glyph."-Arikah, Elitist Jerks

[Glyph of Lay on Hands]
BOOM HEALS!

Buffs-
("Walk around! GET DA BUFFS!"-Gearbreaker - Fury is GOOD in PvP Damnit, just watch! )
Avenging Wrath- pop this...do better
[Blessing of Kings]
Must have!
[Blessing of Might]
If your in a raid and 2 pallys are available OR MORE ask for this too! Happy
[Battle Shout]
If no pally is available, beg for this!

Why not Attack Power?
1 Strength= 2 attack power

Seal twisting-
Seal of Command:2 adds or more
36% weapon damage

Seal of Vengeance/Corruption
33% weapon damage + 2.5% AP + 1.3% spell power per tick

WHAT DO I JUDGE?!?! PUSH THE RED BUTTON?-
Just like Mimiron DON'T PUSH THE RED BUTTON!
Go blue! :D
aka...
[Judgement of Wisdom]
Manaaaaa Always use judge of wisdom, unless you need to use a different one for raid use

When you shouldent blue it up
[Judgement of Light]
Soloing, a few heals are down and your low on health
[Seal of light]
use this with JoL to help solo elites, or to heal while dpsing. THIS IS A DPS LOSS!

NOTE: for a quick heal i advise the use of Flash of Light on Art of War proc and not changing seals,

[Judgement of Justice]
Pvp judgement, used to slow mobs

Gemming-
Go red!
Gem Str gems, once your in full t9 and above you should be gemming
[Bold Cardinal Ruby]
Adds +20 Strength to a gem slot!

Note: Many pallies gem every gem slot red, this is a valid strategy aslong as you complete your meta!

My suggestion?
If you have a piece with a red and yellow sockets and a socket bonus of 4 str or more, add a [Inscribed Ametrine] 10 str 10 crit
(or [Etched Ametrine] 10 str 10 hit, if low on hit)

use 1 and only 1 [Nightmare Tear] +10 all stats
Note: THIS GEM ALONE WILL COMPLETE [Relentless Earthsiege Diamond] META REQUIREMENTS

Meta~ [Relentless Earthsiege Diamond] +21 Agility and 3% Increased Critical Damage, Do not use [Chaotic Skyflare Diamond] because 2 blue gems suck.

Why?: The loss of .5 to 1 dps is made up with the ability to gem another str gem! and some...

Enchants-
"Head: [Arcanum of Torment]
Shoulders: [Greater Inscription of the Axe] / [Lesser Inscription of the Axe]
Chest: Enchant Chest - Powerful Stats / Enchant Chest - Super Stats
Cloak: Enchant Cloak - Major Agility / Enchant Cloak - Greater Speed
Bracers: Enchant Bracers - Greater Assault / Enchant Bracers - Striking /
Hands: Enchant Gloves - Crusher / Enchant Gloves - Precision (if hit is a problem)
Legs: [Icescale Leg Armor]
Feet: Enchant Boots - Icewalker (unless you are way over hitcap, use this) / Enchant Boots - Greater Assault
Weapon: Enchant Weapon - Berserking / Enchant 2H Weapon - Massacre

How berserking works: Berserking is a ppm based proc, similar to mongoose - in a raid environment it has a ~75% uptime. It can only trigger off attacks flagged as melee attacks and melee specials (Judgements, CS, DS, white swings). It has increased uptime since 3.2 due to SoV's hidden strike mechanic, which seems to be able to trigger and refresh the buff. Because of this, this is our only real choice for any dps weapon enchant."-Arikah, Elitist Jerks

What to eat and drink as i run in to give my raid a ticket to the light show wink -

Never elixir, always flask
Flask- [Flask of Endless Rage] Increases attack power by 180 for 1 hour. Counts as both a Battle and Guardian elixir. This effect persists through death.

Food- [Dragonfin Filet] Restores 22500 health and 19200 mana over 30 sec. If you spend at least 10 seconds eating you will become well fed and gain 40 Strength and 40 Stamina for 1 hour.

[Fish Feast] Set out a great feast that will feed your party! Restores 22500 health and 19200 mana over 30 sec. If you spend at least 10 seconds eating you will become well fed and gain 80 Attack Power, 46 Spell Power and 40 Stamina for 1 hour.

Note: This is a dps loss to use, [Dragonfin Filet] is worth using in every situation.

Rotations-
HoW > Judgement > CS > DS > Consecration > Exorcism > Holy Wrath
t10 experimental
Judgement > DS > CS > HoW > Consecrate > Exorcism > Holy Wrath

Drink a [Potion of Speed] As your tank is pulling a boss, this gives a a quick stack of SoV and also allows you to drink another during the fight!

Pop Avenging Wrath As you hit the boss, Some theorys state you should wait for 5 stacks of SoV before popping wings.

About Puggernaut

Welcome to the Puggernaut MMO Gaming Community!

Join! Signup! Game On! Puggernaut is a World of Warcraft community of players helping players.

Puggernaut members are both casual gamers and serious raiders from various World of Warcraft guilds (and unguilded), from over 100 WoW realms, both Alliance & Horde, whom have come together to form a fun MMO Gaming community which advocates "progression for all" by facilitating weekly end-game raiding events for both 10-man and 25-man game content.

Puggernaut is not a guild, nor do we participate in any guild recruitment of any kind. Sure, you'll "apply" just like any other guild forum you see, but its different... here's how:

Why Puggernaut?

Because everyone deserves a chance to raid when they want and get the gear they're after.  While being a member of a high-end guild raid team would be ideal, for one reason or another many guilds fail in the long run, use favortism and/or willing raiders get benched "for the needs to the team".

With Puggernaut, you simply search for an upcoming raid and sign up for it.  Based upon class needs and availability, you'll get a spot.  And if you don't, just sign up for another raid.  It's a simple, first-come-first-serve system and very little wondering if you'lll get a raid spot or not.  Best of all, you don't have to quit your guild to be a member of Puggernaut.  Just submit your application, get approved and sign up to raid!  Easy!

Who Puggernaut is for:

Raiders who find themselves saying:

1) "I wasn't able to raid with my guild this week but I need that loot from KT".
2) "I need gear but don't have the dkp and Puggernaut doesn't use dkp, just fair rolls, so I'll be able to gear up!"
3) "It's fun to raid with a new group of people and do well."
4) "I'm not in a guild and I kind of like it that way."

How does it work?

Scheduled Raid Sign-ups

1) We schedule raid leader-led raids throughout the week, based upon ongoing member polling and raid leader availability.

(Character team assignment could mean either "First String", which are "Ulduar-ready raiders", "Second String", which are raiders still building their gear, or "Casual Raider" - a character still working on heroics.  In any case, its an assignment for your character, not you as a person)

2) You sign up for the raid and the raid leader chooses which players will participate, based on who signed up first, rank, then even class balance.

Rank: All-star
To qualify for All-star rank you must have a minimum average gear level of 213 (see PugChecker.com), meet requirements for both first and second string, have the "Champion of the Frozen Wastes" title and be fully enchanted and  gemmed (see Be.Imba.hu).  There are additional, class-specific requirements, such as minimum sustained dps, dtps, mana pool, armor, hp,  etc.  This info can be found in the members forums under "All-star Rank Requirements".

Rank: First String
To qualify for first string you must have a minimum average gear level of 200 (see PugChecker.com), "The Fall of Naxxaramas" achievements for BOTH Naxx 10 and Naxx 25 (see WoW-heroes.com) and be fully enchanted and  gemmed (see Be.Imba.hu).

Rank: Second String

To qualify for second string you must have a minimum average gear level of 160 (see Pugchecker.com) and be fully enchanted and gemmed (see Be.Imba.hu).

Rank: Heroic Crusader
To qualify for casual raider you must be at least level 80. You are not eligble to raid but you can sign up for 5-man heroic runs.  This is an excellent opportunity to meet new friends and learn how the Puggernaut community functions.

Rank: Rising Star
There are no requirements for this rank other than your personal rep.  Anyone with an active World of Warcraft account with any level character may join.

Which raids do I qualify for?

Participation is based upon by who signed up first.  That said, don't plan to go to Icecrown if you are only Second String, for example.  Each WoW instance has been given a rank designation by Puggernaut and we recommend that you follow that recommendation for the sake of the raid team and because its just plain more fun that way.  :)

Although this is old info, take for example, seasoned raiders with full gear level 213 and above and a high scoring "Heroic Raider" achievements value, would most likely qualify for "First String Raiding", which is primarily 25-man Ulduar, Sarth, Mally and achievement runs.

Up and coming raiders with heroic gear levels would most likely qualify for "Second String Raiding", which is primarily 25-man & 10-man Naxx, 10-man Ulduar, etc.

Gear scrores and heroic raid achievements scores help determine your level of experience and helps to ensure solid raid group make-up.

Perhaps equally as imporant, your people skills are going to help you a whole lot..  We want to ensure a fun and positive raid environment for all.  Manners, personality and consderation for others are equally as important as your gear and experience.

So as you can see, this is a great opportunity to get in the instance of your choice and get the gear you need. It's also a great way to support your own guild.  For example, if for whatever reason you missed a raid or could not participate, Puggernaut raids allow you to gear up your own character, which helps your guild's raid team becomes stronger and stronger.  Better yet, there is no commitment and you can raid as much or as little as you like!

Sign up today!  Everyone is welcome to apply!
